Dive sites at Palau, a part of Micronesia
Palau is Micronesia's westernmost chain of islands with a maximum diameter of 200 kilometers. It roughly consists of 200 islands, with capital Koror located at Babeldoab, the largest of them.
Palau is one of the most extraordinary dive locations in the world. The diversity in coral as well as in fish species makes it a dive location where you can see it all. From sea anemones, pelagic predators, invertebrates, soft coral to sharks. On top of this we have the famous limestone Rock Islands, a series of islands where many ships sunk during World War II. These areas, mostly in the lagoon parts of the islands, have created their own diversity of life.
So there is wreck diving, reef hook diving, dive sites that suits all level of diving, walls, crystal caves, blue holes, large marine life but also clear waters for beautiful photographs of smaller sea life. If you want to see some good diving, this is the place to go.
